The chalet Lucaval occupies two floors of a handsome building in the traditional Val d'Isère style. Lots of exposed wood and visible stonework make it a charming property to stay in. The bedrooms all have their own stylish en-suite marble bathrooms, and the attractive lounge/dining area has a wrap-around balcony which is ideal for enjoying the views of the Bellevarde side of the valley.
The chalet is a stone's throw from the blue piste that takes you down to the main ski-lifts, and offers easy access to all areas.
The lively resort centre is only about 15 minutes' walk along the piste, or you can use the free Train Bleu resort shuttle-minibus that runs until 8pm.

For six days of the week the chalet staff prepare all your meals, as described below. On their one day off, they will prepare a Continental-style breakfast for you to help yourselves, and that evening you can eat out in one of the local restaurants.
Provided will be cereals, fresh fruit and juices, yoghurts, plentiful English tea and good filter coffee, bread ( plus croissants or 'pains au chocolat' in France), cold meats, cheeses and preserves, and boiled eggs. This is normally presented buffet-style for you to help yourself. We also cook a hot dish of the day 6 days of the week, such as sausage and bacon or pancakes with fresh fruit, individually served.
The traditional ‘welcome home’ after a day on the slopes will be laid out for you, ready for your return, every day except on the staff’s day off. A good cup of tea or coffee is the perfect accompaniment to a delicious slice of freshly home-baked cake and keeps hungry skiers happy until dinner is ready.
A tasty and innovative, freshly cooked dinner will be prepared for you six nights per week by your chalet host - or by a qualified chef in larger chalets - and served with a choice of wines. Wine is unlimited during the meal service.
Our four-course dinners start with canapés and an aperitif, followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert and coffee with chocolates.
Vegetarian options are always on our 'Culinary Choice' menu in our Chalet Hotels, and are available in our chalets if you advise us in advance.
Other special diets can generally be catered for at a cost of £35 per person per week. Any dietary requirements must be advised to us at the time of booking in order for us to be fully prepared
Children and High Tea:
Some chalets do not allow children (under 13 years) to stay, unless you have booked a chalet hotel, a whole chalet for your exclusive use, it is a peak holiday week or this has been agreed in writing prior to booking. If this is the case, the following applies:
Children’s High Tea is provided at 5.30pm as the main evening meal, and is tailored more towards children’s normal tastes than our adult-only dinner menu, and includes plentiful soft drinks. Children under 13 are not permitted to join the adult dinner unless you have booked this chalet for your exclusive use, when the choice of dining separately or together is entirely up to you - please let us know at the time of booking. For children receiving a child discount, there is a £39 supplement to upgrade from child meals to the adult menu.
